Research, selection, summarisation and explanatory writing on this desk use AI assistance. This does not mean every item has received a separate human editorial review. We do not present generated context as an interview, an eyewitness account or a personal listening session.
Evidence before a headline
Priority goes to direct artist, label, distributor, venue, festival, official chart, court and company sources. A factual brief needs a primary source, or at least two independent reputable outlets when no primary source is reasonably available. - Release calendar
- Source-backed selected dates. Announced, released, delayed and cancelled are distinct states. An elapsed date is not automatic proof of release.
Dates that mean what they say
The desk is scheduled to check at 11:00 and 18:00 UK time. “Last checked” records a research pass, including one that finds nothing publishable. “Latest story development” records the newest reported event in the feed. Briefs retain stable IDs when materially updated.
Standalone explainers show their actual publication date, not the date of the earlier event they describe. A routine check does not refresh an article’s publication or modification date. Search-filter variants point to the main newsroom and are not intended as separate search results.
Independence and commercial links
News selection and listening context are not a claim of endorsement. Advertising on the site is separate from the evidence cited in an article. No paid placement or affiliate claim is implied by a source link. Any sponsored material or commercial relationship relevant to a future item should be disclosed on that item.
Corrections and accountability
Material factual corrections belong on the affected story and must be identified clearly. New information belongs under the existing story ID when it develops the same event. Report an error or see currently labelled corrections.
